​​​​We believe the majority of people are loving and kind. We believe most people care about each other and the planet. We believe there is more goodness and light in the world than there is darkness.

 

We believe there are more of us.

 

We believe one of the things we can do to realize our dreams for a better world is to come together as a giant community of people who believe in love and goodness. 

 

Imagine millions and millions of people acting in unison to make their voices heard. Imagine a group of people large enough to get the attention of the powerful. Imagine trusting the ratio of good people on the streets of a city. Imagine love winning in big and small ways, every day. Imagine feeling like you are part of a grand community of people who want the best for you and for others. Imagine knowing you are always surrounded by someone who is eager to be loving and kind. Imagine knowing someone in the crowd is willing to stand up for you and for justice. Imagine hatred and division receding because goodness is obvious, proud, and thriving. Imagine feeling the strength of millions of loving people. Imagine your actions making a tangible difference. Imagine celebrating the good created by people from every possible realm. 

 

Unfortunately, hatred and bigotry are often more organized than love and kindness. Hate-filled, power-hungry folks rally unsuspecting followers. They spread lies. They spread ugliness. They recruit people who are hungry for purpose and belonging. Darkness has power, in part, because it is organized. Darkness has appeal to some because it offers instant community and camaraderie. Further, it is well known that drama and negativity are addictive and lucrative. It doesn’t take much effort to follow darkness blindly, so the smallest bit of organization and messaging can magnify and multiply easily.

 

Goodness must be organized and unified.

 

The current momentum of movements has shown us that goodness can utilize current structures of communication and action to make an impact. It is possible to connect existing groups of good people, and grow communities of good people to numbers impossible to ignore. 

 

Every act of kindness matters and makes a difference.

 

Showupforgood believes in celebrating and highlighting good acts of all kinds rather than keeping them hidden or locked away. 

 

We also believe that there will come a time when goodness is a recognizable force with power great enough to stand up to darkness. 

 

Currently there are countless good organizations, initiatives, companies, groups, non-profits, and individuals. Each of these good entities is doing its good work in this world. Many of these entities are growing and reaching other good people. 

 

Showupforgood aims to offer a home and a hub for people who wish for goodness to reign. 

 

Showupforgood believes it is possible to:

• Prove that love wins

• Utilize the power of organized goodness for progress and improved conditions

• Highlight a unified voice of and for goodness across the entire planet

• Create community around principles of kindness and love

• Offer every person a role in the growth and development of goodness; each person recognizing they are contributing

• Utilize community input and development - an open source project 

• Continue to grow, develop, and expand goodness

 

When enough people work together on a unified mission, their actions will be seen and our voices will be heard.​
