Love Loudly

1/25/25

Each day we wake to more shocking and upsetting news. Each day we read comments from our loving communities asking, “What can we do?” Today a comment from Kayla asking, “Any groups emerging this week that have actionable items for us to do?”

If my magic wand was working to its full potential, it would swish across the entire planet and bring loving voices together as one. It would send a united message, an answer to Kayla. It would tell Kayla that today and tomorrow and next week, there is a plan in place for ALL OF US to take action, show up, and make a better world.

Part of the tricky piece of all of this madness is that we scroll and scroll and scroll, looking for connection, for inspiration, for knowledge. We seek understanding and community. We seek hope and guidance. What can we do? What actionable items will work? How and when will our actions matter? What can we do with what we have, where we are?

As suggested by many, we can contact our congresspeople. We can donate to organizations. We can read each other’s posts, stay informed by reading trusted sources, and do our best to stay sane in the midst of a rapidly-changing world.

One day, if all of our magic wands are working, we will truly show power in numbers. We will be a unified voice for goodness and love and progress and inclusion. One day we will take care of each other and our planet. One day.

Showupforgood has just recently launched. It is brand new. I’m trying my damndist to learn website-building and the ins and outs of technological tools. I am holding my little magic wand with hope. I am cutting out hearts and sharing them (see Wear a Heart campaign ❤).

I envision a world in which we unite around love and kindness, and a world in which countless numbers of humans are proud to show up for good. I envision a world in which we love loudly, proudly, and unified.

There are more of us.

Please reach out. Join our mailing list. Check back often, and bring your magic wand. We will need all of the magic we can find.
